Event Description
Chelsea Arsenal Football TicketwA match between Manchester United and Sunderland is typically easy to predict. Whilst recent times have been turbulent for Manchester United, sticking with Louis Van Gaal, after a very shaky start at the beginning of the 2014-15 season has proved to be a fantastic idea and has given the players the stability they need. They finished in 4th place last season and they remain the single most successful team in England and possibly the world. The amazing revenue generated from the Manchester United brand means that they are never short of cash and despite losing stars like Angel Di Maria and Falcao, they have also brought in German legend Bastian Schweinsteiger and Memphis Depay. The team is set to challenge for the title this season and they are definitely expected to finish easily in the top four.

Sunderland FC are in a different boat all together. Year after year, Sunderland have put together an impressive end to their Premier league seasons that has ensured their safety and allowed them to stay in the league when their relegation has looked imminent on more than one previous occasion. They finished 16th last season, but looked doomed halfway through. They have been known to cause an upset however, in recent years, the most notable being when they beat a seemingly unstoppable Chelsea side away from home.

They will be relying on their star players, like Darren Fletcher and Lee Cattermole to help them throughout the season and they will need them to pull out big performances if they are to get a result when they play Manchester United. Sunderland will need to play defensively and hope that Adam Johnson provides pace and an attacking outlet going forward on the counter attack. The real battle when the two sides meet will take place in the middle of the park. Manchester United have great strength in depth and after new signings have a very rigid and strong midfield, who you would expect to dominate the game, with players like Michael Carrick, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ander Herrera being expected to dictate play.

Last season Sunderland were pretty poor defensively but on the whole, their lack of goals was the main problem. The appropriate tactic to employ for Sunderland then is to try and ride out the inevitable dominance of Manchester United and try to sneak a goal on the counter offensive.
